Reinforced spread footings below concrete block masonry shearwalls support truss framed elevated floor diaphragms and the conventionally framed standing seam metal roof.Exposure to hurricane wind and seismic ground forces was considered in this multi-story design.

Petty Residence - Ocean Front Debordieu Colony


Driven timber pilings supporting concrete pilecap comprise the base foundation system. Poured-in-place reinforced concrete shearwalls provide lateral resistance for hurricane exposure along the southern Atlantic coast.

Baghdady Residence - All Saints Waccamaw Parish

 

Driven timber pilings supporting conventionaly framed timber horizontal diaphragms and shearwalls to provide lateral restraint. Exposure to hurricane wind and seismic ground forces was considered in this multi-story design.

Adams Residence - Georgetown, South Carolina

 

Reinforced concrete spread footings below an elevated slab finished floor support plywood shearwalls. A conventionally framed roof shell richly displays decorative timber glulam girders.
